It is a big time of year here in Jerome. It is fair week. Today was the parade. The banks, county offices and many other business close early so they all go to the parade. Pretty much, if you want to be in the parade, show up and get in line. There is no entry fee or order to the parade. Candy is the big event of this parade. I would say, that each kid comes home with a grocery bag full of candy. Yup, it is down right fun.
The parade starts with four Marines carrying the flag down the street. As the flag passes, everyone stands and puts their hand over their heart. No one has to announce it, it just happens. Between you and me, it made me cry.
