BYU

My youngest had commencement this week at BYU. It was online, but I watched it from work. He is my 4th and last to graduate from the Provo campus.
I felt compelled to listen to Elder Gong speak. His message was about the many amazing attributes of the college.
Now, anyone who knows me, knows that it isn't my favorite place. I feel like there is too much pressure to get married and start your perfect life. And we all know that life is hard.
But academically, it is a good school. And I appreciate that they teach service and to share what they have learned with others.

So go Cougers.

Later that day I  found some very active 5 year olds reading and taking turns seeing who will be the teacher.

Just when I think they are totally rotten. they do something sweet.

It's been awhile

It's been a year. I drove over to Twin Falls to see my dear friend Dixie.  I can't imagine how hard this year has been for her. She is in an assisted living center. I  couldn't go in to see her, but we had a good visit I the breeze way -- it was too cold to go outside. We had a good visit.
When I went to school on Monday, I had several kids out. And Tuesday was worse. A good reminder that we aren't out of the woods yet and that things spread quickly.
Be safe. Be wise.

Chocolate

I was sitting in front of this, wondering what the words were talking about. I had an assignment but had no idea what it was. I was stuck on stupid.

I finally got up , went into the kitchen and made some brownies.  I licked the spatula, put the brownies in the oven and went back to this. You know what? I had a thought. It was small and weak, but then I had another one. By the time the brownies came out of the oven, I was on a roll.
I'm a believer in the power of chocolate.

The messages of faith fill our hearts.

Morning Read

I was reading this Easter morning. I woke up early and hurried to read by myself. I wanted to read about finding the tomb in the early morning of the third day. Some words that stuck out this morning,
 Peace
Seek
Jesus
I think there is a message there.

'Going to Carolina in my Mind" comes up on my Pandora every day. I am here to tell you that if you sing it, you can get there. It was nice to be vacinated and feel comfortable flying.
Here are some random reasons that I love it.

Hanging out with little people.
