Spring is Back

We had a really nice day followed by days of wicked wind, but it is nice today. I have no doubt that we will have more wind this week.

I have my chair set up and ready for some reading. I was out earlier this afternoon enjoying the sounds of birds and squirrels.

We did Kindergarten registration and one of the families that came in was the family that took in a 14 year old Guatemalan girl I was working with a couple if years ago. I was so happy to see her and discover that she is still going to school.  It was truly a joy for me.

Then two says later I found that my Guatemalan student that I have this year moved to Chicago.  I was sad and concerned.  Wendell is a pretty safe place. I just can't imagine that she is moving to a safe neighborhood in Chicago.  I wish I could keep in touch. I have these new immigrants move into our area and I enjoy keeping track of their progress.  I wouldn't be surprised if they move back but I will pray for their safe journey, where ever they are.

Life certainly has its upside and downs.

Easter

As I was reading in the New Testament this morning I was struck by how much turmoil  there was in the last days of our Savior life. Then came that blessed Sunday and there was Peace. It was His message. Peace.  I know it will be the same when he comes again. A turbulent world, loved ones who heartbreaking lose their way, doubt and fear, but when we draw near to him we feel His Peace. When he comes it will be Peace. Please seek Peace in your life.

My blessing this week:

This week we had turbulent weather. Snow, icy roads, wind, hail, a blizzard, sun and cold.

With any luck it killed most of the apricots.

We had a good back up plan.

I love these tulips and the memory of Lucy helping me transplant them.

The little birds came back this week.

A good trip to a local greenhouse to pick up some flowers for Earth day.  I was gifted 4 flowers. It made my heart happy and I truely felt blessed.

He lives and loves us. Happy Easter.

Flowers

Spring in the Rocky Mountain area is not not for the faint of heart. There is wind as cold fronts blow through and there are a few nice days here and there.  I think what makes it hard for me us just wanting some peaceful, warm weather.

Flowers are the blessing we have everyday: wind, cold, warm or even snow. The hope of better days.

My Lucy tulips.

It's all about Jesus

Last week, as I watched General Confrence I felt the Spirit testify to me that Jesus is the Christ and that life us all about our relationship with Him.

I heard words confirming that these are the times. That He will come again and that everything good is from Him.

I have felt and expressed for years that if your relationship with Jesus is good, you are okay. Scripture study and prayer are key to this relationship, but our day to day actions are what seals the deal.

Love Confrence weekend. It make my heart strong and my Spirit at peace.
