It's that time of year

I went out back to reflect on my favorite memories of summer.  The hummingbirds were buzzing and this memory #1. Such a peaceful place.

#2
These trees and this beach
#3
The walks, all of them.

#4
Going to the pool 4 times a week.
I love my class and the people in it.

And last: I have been blessed to visit with so many friends and family.  They are the best part of life.

One Last Adventure

We had planned on going to Canada, but due to Covid issues, we didn't chance it .
We meet up with Callie, Scott and Spencer for a Sawtooth hike and Some lake time.

I didn't make it to the lake. The sign lies, it is way more than 1.25 miles.

My hiking buddies.

Sawtooth beauty.

Redfish

Pizza. We had a plate, Scott had a pizza.

Good day, live my family.

Home

We lived on Tein Falls for a very long time. I was born there in 1960 and we moved to California in 1977. We did have a four year move to Houston Texas in 1963, but this has always felt like home.

I never thought my parents would come back here for a visit, but the yearning to see her cousins made my mom decide to make the journey.

Wes and I went to California on a Wednesday and brought them back on a Thursday. My dad loved the drive. He was alert and aware. When we got to the Magic Valley he said,  'Prettiest farmland anywhere.' It was extremely difficult to get him in and out of the car and into the restrooms, but it was a good day for him.

We drove to Challis on Saturday. When we walked in the house someone said, 'Text Connie, she's been waiting for Kay to get here.'

It was a beautiful place. I know Uncle Joe would love how well Jack had taken care of the place. The family has grown and a new generation of tall, strong spirited. Anderson's is underway.

My parents are home now. My sister took them home. It was an emotional journey. It was probably the last time they will come home to Idaho.
