Take the Hike

Nine years ago I took my first trip to Banff in Canada.
It was beautiful, but since then,
we always have kids with us and I really wanted to revisit Banff.

So, in one beautiful day,
we went on three hikes and thoroughly enjoyed this marvelous place.

This is one the hike at Lake Loraine.
I'm always looking for a tree to put on my facebook page.

This is Lake Moraine.
I can't describe how beautiful this lake is.

We did take a little hike to get a different view.

These were the only wild flowers we saw.

Around every turn, you see more scenic views.

Always a tourist.

This is at the end of Lake Loraine.

It was a good day to take a hike.

Our 3rd hike was to Johnson's Canyon.
Apparently, I did not take any pictures.

We were driving to Two Jack Lake
when were treated to some great animal sightings.

We also saw a big bear the next day.

Well, the girls joined us and we enjoyed a slower day,

We were able to get out on the Lake Minnewanka.
I can not lie,
I fell in love with the name of this lake,
but it was an incredible stop.

We enjoyed our time with the girls.

So take the hike,
Get out on the Lake
and
Enjoy Family Time.

Oakland Temple

What a beautiful day!

We made a quick trip to California to go the Open House of the Oakland Temple.

A view from the roof top.

Hydrangeas, my favorite color.

Beautiful grounds.

I had some young women take our picture.
This is one out of 14.

Everything was lovely.

This temple has a special place in my memory.

I was married here,

sealed to my parents,

watched many of my friends and family sealed,

taken my kids here to see Christmas lights,

and came once a month for 15 years to do work inside with Wes.

I remember my friend, Jean, going here with me and
telling me the stairs were like those in  the Sound of Music.

My friend Lea brought me here my first time.
She has been an example to me since I was 17 and first meet her.

Cecile Brown used to load up her van with elderly women every Tuesday
and taxi them here from Stockton.

It is a place where love abounds.
