Wedding

I have to say that the last three weeks have been crazy.
I spent two solid weeks getting ready for school,
because Richard and Ashley
got married the Saturday before school started.

It took a lot of effort, and two photographers,
but we did get a family picture.
Thanks Jake for taking a keeper.

I love this picture.

These three were a great help and a whole lot of fun.

The grands had an incredible time dancing.

Here are all my boys.

I was happy to have most of my family there.
My sister flew out with my parents,
who enjoyed being around family.

Wes had a couple of his brothers there.
And a big shout out to Jacquie and Byron, who helped us with the dinner.

Liz and her grand daughter made the journey too.
I was soooo happy to see them.

I have more pictures.
But they are not of the wedding.
We had a great time, but no wedding comes without a little stress.
In the end, it is all about family and love.

Say it isn't so

I can't believe I go back to work tomorrow.
This summer has gone by so fast.
I have captured some of my favorite places.

An A's game....They might do something this year.

My happy place.
I love the Pacific Ocean.

Such a beautiful, peaceful walk through a Redwood Groove.

This was a good day at the pool with the grands,
but I love to go to water aerobics everyday.

The Salmon River at Uncle Joes.
Such a special  place filled with memories of family.

Here is an easy walk in Provo near the river.
Had everyone with us but Richard and  Ashley.

Here's to a great school year.

Class Reunion

When I was 17 and Junior in High School,
my family moved to Yuba City California.
I was devastated.
How could they take me away from my friends?
How could they take me away from Idaho?

Well, I survived and am always invited to the Idaho class reunion
even though I didn't graduate from Twin Falls.
I've never been able to go, but this year,
I could.

It blew my mind.
People would talk to me and I would have no idea who they were.
We wore name tags that had our names and Senior pictures on them.

I found myself looking at the name tags and
wishing we were wearing them on our forehead.
I wondered if I ever talked to anyone at school,
because none of them seemed familiar to me.

After we left,
I threw my tag away.
I decided that 41 years ago,
I moved and have  never had anything to do with 99% of these people.
Why do I want to re-connect now?
I don't.

The class facebook page was flooded with
pictures and wonderful words of love.

It was me.
I just didn't feel the love.
Live and learn.
