My Daughter

I only have one daughter, and the older she gets the more I see myself in her.  Sometimes I shake my head and wonder why.  Well today, for mothers day she sent me some notes:
LESSONS  I have learned from YOU
You taught me that I need a hobby and I need to love it.  And that hobbies are worthwhile.
If you can't say anything nice, say it to your mom.
You don't ever have to pay full price for clothes.
You taught me to be myself.  No matter what anyone thinks or expects.  I am free to be me.
You taught me to love others, no matter the circumstances.
There are some things in this life that just aren't worth the stress.
A good work Ethic
If you get a dish dirty, you better be intending to wash it.
You don't have to be a good dancer to dance.
It's okay to just sit and read a book at night.
If you're at a family get-together, always have a good time and get-along, even if you're not very happy with each other.
Books are an escape.  Don't disturb people who are reading.
I am so glad I don't have sisters/had sisters while I was growing up.  There are a lot of benefits to brothers.

Contention is of the Devil.
You need your VITAMIN-D every day. (Everyone does).
Never Play Phase 10 all phases...
You taught me to listen to and obey the words of prophets.  Past and present
We laugh while the prophet is at the pulpit, so people should laugh while we're at the pulpit.
Phonics! (not spelling)
CVC words are words too...
How to draw a flower..I've come a long way...
Fake it until YOU make it.
Always be prepared. Have crayons nearby. also- crayons have a comforting scent.
The perfect cookie recipe..and , if you want a cookie, Make yourself a cookie.  It's that simple.
Dresses without sleeves were made that way for a reason.  If you cover them , it looks tacky.
Retail therapy is REAL, even if you're JUST spending a few dollars...
Work is not always fun, that's why it's called work.
You taught me to love puzzles.
Not everyone is going to like you and that is OKAY!
You taught me to be respectful and grateful to all.
You don't ever have to pay full price for clothes.
Don't manipulate boys, but have fun while dating them.
If you're going to do something. Do it WHOLE heatedly.

What can I say?  I learned everything I know from my mother.
