Is it the weekend yet?

Callie goes down again. Honestly, she is proud of this and calls it 'epic'
The soccer field is along way from anywhere. Wes went and got the golf cart to get her to the car. He drives is like a maniac. She is lucky she wasn't injured again.

This week has been crazy. I planned this great trip to Utah this weekend. The band has a competition in Payton and I thought it would be great to get all my kids together for the first time since Todd got home. First Richard gets sick, then Callie hurts her foot, Scott got sick yesterday and I never fess up to being sick, but if I talk, I cough. Uggg.
On a happy note. Callie is not using crutches. No one likes it when I talk anyway. And I heard a funny taking Rich to school today. This was the poll question: Is it okay for kids to keep a gun in their car if they are going to go hunting after school? Only in Idaho!

I am so pro-guns, but having gone to a high school where there was a shooting I don't trust testosterone and angsty kids. I think there should be some adult supervision...

kids in California keep guns in their cars, what's difference does it make in Idaho? The only thing I can think of is in Idaho they may end up providing dinner for the family instead of becoming a burden on society.

I love Callie's Cadillac and person transportation. I just knew one of them was going to get hurt. By the way, the ugly cough is lasting into it's third week with me.

Harvest Blessings

I love the end of Summer with its beautiful harvests.  The smell of soup that fills the kitchen. I spent most of yesterday making tomato soup for grilled cheese and tomato soup dinners this Winter.  I'm so grateful that my neighbor gifted me the tomatoes and fresh onions were available at the Farmers Market. This simple recipe is 100% nutrious and delicious.  I freeze the soup in 3 cup portions. It's what Wes uses to cook dinner once a week. I did think that it was a lot of work so that Wes could think he cooked dinner, more than once yesterday.  Love living in Idaho.... Harvest Blessings.... Good day...

The Summer of $50 Picnic

I love a picnic, but this year has been pricey. Some of these picnic were for two and others for more. They were all the best. Eaten in the mountains or by the sea, they were all enjoyable.  Wood River picnic area. Johnson Lake in Canada  Crab sandwiches in Bodega in California.... Challis Idaho  Redfish Lake Idaho. What a beautiful way to spend the Summer. Sandwiches and cookies, blue skies and good company.  Not ready for Fall.... Happy Summer Days.....

Walks, Lake Day and I've had Enough

I love my morning walks this time of year. I tend to focus on the beauty  Because we all know that when Winter comes, I'll be whining. Had a beautiful day at Redfish .. Picnic and lake time.  And to finish up this post, it's my anniversary. To be honest, this has been a really hard year. I am working very hard on not correcting the things that Wes says. He is often confused and his problem solving skills are declining.  My other problem comes when we are around people in the stake and he's always walking up to people (who are apparently Bishops) and saying, ' Hello Bishop'. I don't even have words to describe how weird I think this is.   Sometimes I feel like he has joined a club that I want no part of.  If you have any words of wisdom....I need them.  I have been thinking about my mom and these were her words of wisdom...Men are weird and they get weirder w...
