Atlanta
When World Cup tickets went on sale in November I asked Wes and he didn't respond. So I asked Laura, Keith's mother in law, and she responded immediately.
Since we both had to fly, we picked Atlanta. She got some reasonable tickets and booked a trip.
We visited the Coke Museum and had a delightful time.
We went to the Martin Luther King National Historic Monument.
It was peaceful.
I wish we had time for the tour of his house.
We also visited the Human Rights Museum.
Then it was off to see the Botanical garden.
With the heat and humidity, things really grow.
Made a new friend.
They have an Orchid house.
The colors are beautiful.
Another win for us.
Just spectacular.
And this frog had his own space
We went for the game but our tickets never were never sent.
Stub Hub kept telling us t,hey were sending but they never did. They worked with us, but they bought the tickets from a third party and thst party sold them. We were not the only ones but it was discouraging non the less.
We watched the game from the Media Building. It was air-conditiomed, the food was good and we had a front row seat.
I had told Laura about Jekyll Island. I thought it was too far away, but she really wanted to go.
It was beautiful and rainy. They have over a 100 turtle nest and it is still nesting season.
It was a privilege and an honor to interact this week with the tourists from around the world who came to see a FIFA game. I loved the colors of their skin, the hair of their little ones, their languages. I visited with them, took pictures of families...some were so grateful...and made little people smile.
We are all God's children and we are better together.
FIFA in Spain.....
Better together....
I'd like to teach the World to sing....
