What a Week

I'm not a Republican.
I'm not a Democrat.
I'm not a MAGA.
I'm not a Fascist.
I would rather have a root canal than listen to Fox News.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ.
I'm 100% anti-gun

With the killing of Charlie Kirk this week it has become clear to me that people are blind to the truth. For the record, I knew his killer was going to be a home-grown, gun loving, Conservative - being a Republican is very confusing right now. And it was. 

In my world what happened this week is that two families were forever torn apart. A young mother and two children lost the father in their home. A Christian family has lost a son, because he will probably be convicted with the death penalty. That family, like so many, taught him how to use his gun and they will forever know, that he used that skill for evil. 

The Maga world is praising Charlie Kirk as a Godly man who shared light and love with others. I had no idea who he is, but everything I've read seems to point to a very charming man with a hateful message. 

This country is CRAZY right now. God Bless us with PEACE. Bless people to find peace in Jesus Christ. Bless them not to get obsessed with the turmoil, Help them find a hobby, get outside , and serve others. Because there are too many woves in sheep's clothing. Just walk away.....

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches that we love one another. Not that we judge one another, not that we shoot one another, but that we love each other 
We are all God's children.
He loves us, all of us. 
Let's live in peace and remember God.

Magic Valley Symphony

Wes and I finally made it to the Magic Valley Symphony. I was pleasantly surprised by how incredible they sounded. They had a guest conductor, Jose Luis Egiluz, from Spain. All the music they did was also from Spain. They had a local acoustic guitarist, who did an excellent job with his solos. Missing from the performance was Music Director, Conductor, Ted Hadley. He had to go the High School district championship basketball game with the Pep Band. That would be his day job, not to mention the job that has a paycheck attached to it. Going to the symphony is like being at the circus for me. I just can't decide what to watch. This was a group of about 70 musicians. Some as old as my mother, while others were as young as my daughter. The concert was followed by a reception with punch and brownies. All of this for $8. All in all, a very pleasant evening. Wild Week with Lots of Kids

Todd asked if I would watch his kids while he and Katelyn went to Copenhagen for a conference. Then Keith and Courtney decided to come down so the kids could play together.  Cousin Power  They love the cats. Lots of backyard time... An outing a day helps keep boredom away... Hunt Interment Camp  Bowling..... Dairy Queen... Priene Bridge... CSI Harriet Center... Banbury Hot Springs... Hagerman Fossil Center.... And lots and lots of food, play time, and more food time... Political Agenda

I have been reading the buzz by upset parents who are worried that the President of the United States wants to make a speech to their children about education. I have some thoughts on this issue, as I have children in school. 1. I am not a Republican, so I do not understand the brainwashing theory. I mean, I have no idea what the heck they are talking about. The reality is, it won't matter what he says, because they only listen to the first 7 words (that is what one of my child development books said and started to watch kids after reading it --- very true). So if he is going to brainwash (?????) them, he basically has 7 words to do it in. 2. I think that it is wonderful that the leader of the nation would take time out of his busy schedule to talk to children. 3. Because of No Child Left Behind, there has to be a lesson plan to go along with it and make it standard based or educators can't take the time away from preparing the children for a test to watch it. 4.
