Spring Break

We needed to be in Kansas at the end of spring break for Ellie's baptism so we decided to drive across the country and visit some sights.

Mountain Mary's Cookies in Fort Collins Colorado is always a fun stop.

We went out of our way to go to Beehive Quilt store in Wellington Kansas. I love this mother-daughter quilt store. They have everything you can imagine and these women are right there to talk to and help you.

We had wanted to stop at The Eisenhower Museum for a few years.

It is well done and worth the stop in Abilene Kansas.

All politics aside. He was a President who cared very much about people and Foreign policy. Polar opposite to the Yahoo running out country now.

We went to Independence Missouri and had a couple of stops. My favorite was the tour of the Truman home. It was interesting and entertaining.

My favorite stop ever is sitting on Todd's deck and watching the steady stream of golfers enjoy the day.

In Kansas City Missouri we visited The Negro Baseball League Muesem. Then, the Jazz museum.

This is cool little street that still has Jazz clubs.

Just down the street was an iconic BBQ stop. The food was good and it is a pretty fun place.

And lastly we had some soccer time.

The weather was warm and we enjoyed Kansas. I will say that most of what we did was not kid friendly.

If you want a good road trip, get off I-80....
Stop the car.... Enjoy the day....
