Sharing

Last week we had my dad's 90th birthday party. I had been going through pictures as I was ready to pass off some of the things I had to my brother and found some pictures I had never seen before. I took them over Sunday morning and asked him if he knew anybody in them. As his state of mind is often in the past, he was very helpful and because it was early in the morning, he had some very sweet comments. I just wanted to write them down.
That's me on the small horse.
I handed him this one and said how cute it was. He said, That's me, When my mother was alive, she made me cute.
I also commented on how cute this one was. He smiled and said, that's me and my cousin Ralph Edwards. We were hellions. The dog is mine; I can't remember his name. He had a name though.
I asked him why he had a grumpy face in this one and he told me it was because he didn't have his overalls on.
That's my dad. I was like, he's so young. People always thing my dad was old, but he was young. He was good looking and had a lot of girl friends (after his mother died). We can only assume that dad is the baby. He was an only child.
He took one look at this and said, That's my mother. He says he has no memories of her, but there was no doubt. It was a sweet little processes that brought me joy.
