Spring Break 2017

I always need to get out of town during Spring Break.
Preferably somewhere warm.
So, we decided that this was the year to go the Phoenix area for a little baseball.

It was lovely.

We had good seats.

We love our A's and they won for us.

We stayed with Wes's niece.

These two melted my heart.

Sometimes I look around and just can't believe the beauty of this earth.

The wild flowers were in bloom.

Lots of cactus and mountain tops.

We went to see the Mesa Temple

Our guide at the Visitors Center suggested we pick some fruit,

So we did.

We also went to Lowes in search of a Jasmine plant.
It may have been my favorite spot on the trip.
I brought home 2.
I am going to try and see if I can get them to live in Idaho.
I will post a picture soon.

We stopped at the Hoover Dam on the way home.

I'm still freaked out by the size and height of this bridge.
You can walk across it, but I passed.

And my favorite picture ever,
Here I am taking a picture for strangers on the bridge.

It was a beautiful day.
I enjoyed this little outing.
Go Again?
Definite possibility.

Results of a Snowy Winter

We have had a snowy winter.

 But there are some benefits.

The Shoshone Falls are beautiful.

They have so much water going over them right now.

I remember seeing this much water as a child,

but back then, there was an old, rickety wooden observation deck,

that I was sure was going to fall apart while we were out there.

In other words, I was much more worried about were I was standing than what I was seeing.

And because I posted too many snow pictures,
Here,
My little bulbs are all so happy to be poking their heads up.

And I'm so happy to see them all.

My babies children are doing very well.
Rich looks so much better today.

And Callie went on an adventure with her husband Friday.

They will start a new adventure in the Fall.
She has been accepted to Columbia for Grad School.
It's hard for me to imagine my children being so far away.
But I wouldn't want to stop them.

Work -- a blessing

I had the weirdest experience this week.
On Friday morning, both Callie and Richard had procedures done...
on the same day...
at the same time...
with all of us in different states.

It kinda freaked me out for a while.
So I said a prayer,
and,
did some work.

Before I knew it,
they were both out.

I heard from the mission nurse that Richard was out and well,
and Callie also came through well.

From everything I hear....
I can't tell a lie, I have had a few phone calls from concerned members in Texas
He is in more pain than Callie.

But they will both be walking soon.

In the mean time,
I will get back to work.

Summer Project

When I look out my front window I see this bush.

Unfortunately, with our abidance of snow this winter,
most of the time it looks like there is 6 feet snow outside my window.
So, I say,
Let's meaning Wes  take out that bush.

What will I put there?

Well, something that doesn't need full sun.

Bleeding hearts, Dahlias, Hydrangeas, Camellias.

 Hydrangea blooming.
