 We had a great weekend in California with the kids. 
We took a few family pictures and I thought I would share a few.

Magic Valley Symphony

Wes and I finally made it to the Magic Valley Symphony. I was pleasantly surprised by how incredible they sounded. They had a guest conductor, Jose Luis Egiluz, from Spain. All the music they did was also from Spain. They had a local acoustic guitarist, who did an excellent job with his solos. Missing from the performance was Music Director, Conductor, Ted Hadley. He had to go the High School district championship basketball game with the Pep Band. That would be his day job, not to mention the job that has a paycheck attached to it. Going to the symphony is like being at the circus for me. I just can't decide what to watch. This was a group of about 70 musicians. Some as old as my mother, while others were as young as my daughter. The concert was followed by a reception with punch and brownies. All of this for $8. All in all, a very pleasant evening. We started going to the Symphony in Stockton. Beginning band has killing our sense of what music was, so, I decided we deserved to he...

To Tired to be Retired

Well, it finally felt like a retirement week. It was good. I did end up sick and had to visit the doctor.  Truth is I'm a little unsettled about Trump meeting with Putin and I can't help but wonder what will happen this week.  Anyone who knows me knows that I think Putin owns Trump. I'm not sure what happened but I pray that those two haven't  started WWIII.   I don't usually write about politics here, but it's on my mind.  God bless us all.

Uncle Joe

I've written about the Anderson reunion before. It never cease to amaze me that I belong  to this kind and welcoming family.   These are some of my mother's cousins. They wanted me in the picture to represent her family.  I would rather not be in the picture, but they asked. From left to right, Terry and his son, Andy's son, Jack, Forest, David, Steven, Casey,  Ron, Devon's sons, Gary and Jay, Cy's sons. Front row is Elaine, Jill, Janette and Lu, the rest of Devon's family and me, Alta's granddaughter. LaDell had two sons there, but not in the picture.  The ranch was beautiful... Like always.... Never tire of the view..... Scott came with us. He smiled. It made my heart happy. I am grateful that they invite me to a reunion of some one who I have never met, but has given me a ticket to spend time with these sweet people, who are my family.  Families are everything.... God is in the details....
