4th of July

So the city of Jerome had a 4th of July ceremony.
It was a cool morning.

With a little breeze.

Now, this guy rang the bell during the minute of silence --- which isn't very silent.

These guys had to stand through the entire program...

To have a 1 volley salute....but it was loud.

After a reading of the Declaration of Independence,
which at one point, I thought that we may have been declaring independence from Obama,
this group read a list of names, over 400 of them.
They were veterans of WW2 buried in the Jerome cemetery.

It was also covered by the local news.
And if you don't blink, you will see Wes and I.

We had a little bbq in the evening and then listened to this crazy
place pop and bang, as they went crazy with fireworks.

Hope you had a great  4th too.
