End of the Month

We had such a nice afternoon today

 Hard to believe that last week we had 3 inches of snow. To be honest, we will have more Winter weather. It is Winter after all. 

The week ended with Parent Teacher Confrences.  God bless the kids.  Their parents want them to magical grow into responsible adults without any boundaries. 

When I had kids at home I used to study General Confrence talks to generate ideas for parenting.  I would suggest that it is still a useful method. 

Just keep at it. 

February, Will we make it through?

I read this book as a read aloud on the recommendation of my grand daughter. I was somewhat reluctant because it's about a girl who's mother can't get out of bed and her dad is in jail so she goes to live with her aunt.

It's been a busy weekend

Miricle Hot Springs and the Eagle Tree

 There are a dozen eagles sitting in there.

A snow walk in the Wood River area and Scott came home. 

Just a little snow here this week. 

Just keep breathing.

If I were a flower I'd be a Pansy

When I went out to feed the birds I saw these little pops of life. This little bunch of Pansies are a few years old. They sit out in the cold and snow and catch every drop of warmth and light to make a comeback year after year. 

It's hard not to love them. 

I waer a second pair of glasses when I cross stitch.  That extra pair of magnifying glasses makes things clearer. 

I've been reading Prophets See Around Corners by Shari Dew. Listening to a Prophet is like wearing an extra pair of glasses. You just see things better.

I look at my kids who struggle and wish they would listen.

Sun

It's been a week. I have been sick and they gave the wrong antibiotics and then the right one. My back went out and it just hasn't gone well. When I saw the sun this afternoon I was out the door. 

 I did have a jacket on and the sun was not strong enough to warm me up, but it felt good. The sun works miricles in the Winter.

We had Stake Conference this weekend. It was kinda hard. It's weird how little things elicit emotions. I went to Yuba City the last time we had Stake Confrence.  Nothing went the way I planned and it didn't end well. 

Two good moments in Confrence...the talk from the temple presidency member about how our family can change after death. The Savior helps us be whole. They are there when we do their ordinances.  The other was the closing hymn; God be With You. It was timely. These moments touched my soul.

 God is good and leaves us little nuggets of warmth along the way.
