Christmas

I was feeling bad, because I didn't take any Christmas pictures.
but I looked on my phone and hey,
I found some weird pictures.

I took this picture of my tree and sent it to Callie.
I was telling her I need a something new on my tree.
But I decided it was okay.

Sometimes at night, I sit really close to the tree.
I like it then.

These were made by Spencer.
Holy Cow!
They are amazing.
The little ones are on post-it notes.
I am amazed and in love with them.

Here is another night I sat too close to the tree.

Wes let the cat in and this was just too cute.

I spent too much at Kohl's and got a bunch of Kohl's Cash.
I went platter crazy this season,
there are more.

Oh yes, there were blurry people.
Hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas!

Whew! Last week of school for the year!

When school starts I always read this book.

It helps kids find their way around the school,

But also sets them up for the day that we read this book

This book teaches that the little things you do,
can make other people very happy.

We sang We wish you a Merry Christmas to the office.

We gave thank you gifts to our intervention teachers.

We made beautiful hand print Christmas cards for their parents.

We made ornaments with their pictures on them.

When Charlie the Veteran came into our room,
one of the boys saluted him and of course,
Charlie saluted back.

One of the boys told Santa thank you for the Christmas letters he sent our class.

All though I can't teach that Christ is the center of Christmas,
I can teach behaviors that let them feel the spirit of the season.

The other thing that happened this week
built beds for two of my students.

I can't tell you how it feels to know that they are not sleeping on the floor anymore,
but I encourage you to check out this organization.
They are truly amazing.

May each of you have a Merry Christmas.

Canadian weekend

It is hard for me to believe that Lucy is 8 already.

We went to Canada for her baptism.

Keith told the girls that if they cleaned up downstairs, they could have some frosting.

It's a girls world in that house.

This one is pretty serious.
But she is good girl.

Okay, so this is not the best picture,
but you get the idea.

Here is my oldest with his crew of pretty girls.

This is Andrea and I love her to death.
She is a fellow quilter,
however,
this day we were working to get everyone feed.

Lucy was very happy that day
and we are happy for her.
It is a big step to decide to follow the Savior.

We took a walk to the park to play in the snow.

These skates are so darn cute.

I went out on the ice.
No skates,
but no broken bones either.

Learning is hard.

There is also a snow hill.
That little one loves to go down in the sled.

Let's face it, she just really likes the snow.

It was a good weekend, and I truly enjoyed it.

Thanksgiving

My daughter wanted to go to California for Thanksgiving.
It seems like the weather is always bad for Thanksgiving,
but she pulled the 'Grandma' card.
You know?  I really want to visit Grandma.
So we grabbed Scott and his guitar and her dog and took a

ROAD TRIP

For the record,
the weather was delightful

We were able to visit with family.

Lots and lots of family.

Family we haven't seen since the last time we had Thanksgiving there.

She also wanted to go to the beach.

It's not really a hard sell.

The sun was out,

We went to Dillon Beach on the Sonoma Coast.

It was beautiful.

I felt blessed to spend a few hours in the sun
and sand in November.

The water was icy cold,
but the company was warm.

When we came home the weather was also nice this week,
until yesterday when we were visited with the first snow.
It had to happen, but I am never ready for it.
