Another Graduation Day ! ! ! !

We had another graduation day at BYU!
(I feel like we do this often)

Here are our BYU students -- oh wait --- we are missing one,
so we found a substitute for the picture.

I love this girl.

And the classic picture with mom and dad.

Sheri Dew spoke at the ceremony.
She is an excellent speaker.
Her message was to ask questions
and find the answers in the scriptures.

I have a question -- of course --
If Sheri Dew had been married and had children,
would she have been offered her job, as CEO of Deseret Book?

Okay, on with the day.
We took Peter to look at chase the ducks.

He did enjoy it, but he was very concerned about where his 'new car' was.
(He calls his family's car  'the new car')

So we found the car and when we did, we found his new brother.

We were in Provo for 22 hours,
and Katelyn was in labor for 19 of them.

Needless to say, I feel blessed to be able to see him on his birthday.

His name is Calvin Scott,
he was 3 and 1/2 weeks early
and weighed in 6 pounds 3 ounces and 19 inches.

He is doing great and gets to come home today.

The aunts and uncles were happy to see him too.

Gifts from the Sea

When we were in Seattle I learned something.
Please understand that I have many things to learn.

We stayed at a hotel a couple of blocks from Puget Sound.
We walked down there one afternoon when the tide was out.
That is what I learned, I didn't know that it had high and low tides.

So we walk out on the rocky beach and guess what?
It was covered with shells.
100's of them, and all different sizes.

So I picked up some for my students.
Kids in Idaho love to get shells.
I know I loved to see sea shells when I was a kid living in Idaho.

Last summer I bought these plants
half dead,
on clearance,
and planted them in my new planter,
After watering them all summer,
they finally bloomed.

Lesson:
Patience, Patience, Patience

Eddie Keith and Krissy

It turns out that I have 2  first cousins.
My mother had a brother,
who had two children.
My father was an only child.

I have Eddie Keith

and Kristian.

I am sorry to say that I haven't seen Kristian, since I was about 10.
So, when I found out that she died this week,
I couldn't help but think,
"How have I lost complete contact with 1 of my 2 cousins?
To be honest, she has alienated herself from all family.

While at a funeral for a co-workers child this week,
--I know, right?  It is has been one of those weeks.--
I found myself thinking about who would take care of her now.
And this picture came clearly into my mind.

We have the same grandparents. --duh--
I'll bet, they only saw each other a dozen times.
But the look on my grandfathers face
says, I will take care of her....always.

Tulips and Easter

We had a little Easter egg hunt yesterday.

I think tulips make the best hiding places.

My two youngest came home for the weekend.

We had fun.
