With one weekend to go, I got in my final trip; and went to visit Callie. I know many of my readers will know this one. Do you ever miss C.P.? Walking to work. For the record, she says she does not wear the red shoes when they play the U. She is above the U in University. Now you can see her? And even better here. We also did a little shopping and had lunch at In and Out. The only reason Rich came with me.   I did it!  My goal was to visit all my kids this summer. I don't know if I will have the same goal next summer.

Red Potatoes!

I love growing potatoes.  I love how green the tops are and the you dig and find these beauties. I imagine some of this fascination could be contributed to being the  granddaughter of a farmer, but then again, maybe not. Love this time of year.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been so busy this week. I took Rich in for his physical, and he had shingles....Really????? Yes, he had shingles. One of Keith's old roommates stopped on his way to Seattle, which was fun.  It was a short visit, but it was fun to see him. My parents came a couple of hours later that day for a 3 day visit.  I always love to have them visit. You just need to remember to stock up on Kleenex and napkins...two things which my dad uses  perpetually  on an hourly basis. Then I had a Relief Society activity at my house.  It was fun to have the gals over and visit.  We also did a bread and jam table.   Sometime in those three days, Rich and Joanne also stopped by.  We had a lunch at the Burnt Lemon Grill , where I am sad to say, they did not have sweet potato fry dipping sauce.  Honestly, when they do, there is nothing better...Nothing. Rich and I went shopping with my parents one day.  Enough said. Unfortunately, I forget to sto...

A Long Drive

I thought I would show some interesting sights we had as we drove to Wisconsin. I don't even know what to say about this, but it was funny. If you look close, one of these poor soldiers is shot in the bum.   It made me laugh...what can I say? Quiet morning at Winter Quarters Words cannot express how much corn, hay and soy we saw. As luck would have it, we saw Glenda almost as soon as we got to Nauvoo  and we loved it! No trip is complete without a quilt. I found Nauvoo to be peaceful. Loved that they rebuilt the outhouses. Here is the loom that they make all the rugs out of. I really thought Peter would like the wagon ride.  He did not like the horses. A beautiful morning. Here is Peter after Uncle Rich took care of him. Besides being sideways (and I have no idea why) he was happy. This is where we saw Max. Please notice th...
