4 Down, 1 To Go

Here is ls on graduation day. She was a valedictorian, so she gave a speech and she did a fine job. We had a great time with our visitors.

Quilt in a Day

I have been working on a wall hanging from the pattern, Road to Stardom, by Eleanor Burns for 3 days and all I have done is 5 blocks. I am not sure what that says about my ability to make a quilt in a day? I am renaming it, quilt in a month.

The Jerome Cinema

One of my favorite things about living in a little hick town, is the fact that we have our own Cinema. I do believe it was built before we moved to California, in the late 70's. The movies are usually current. I was very disappointed yesterday, because they had raised the price to $7.50. ls and I went to The Last Song, last night. It was pretty busy because the Shrek movie was playing, but there were only 7 others in the movie with us.I love this sign, mostly because I can't figure out who or why someone else would park here.

More Round Robin

Okay, I have a hard time not saying what I think. I think this is ugly and I am sending it to Liz--good luck! When this started, I really didn't like it either, but I love what has been done so far. I think I am going to appliqué horse shoes on it.

Round Robin

First, let me say that I have been so busy with subbing and working for the Census. Don't get me wrong, I love to work. I really enjoy doing the Census. My only regret is that I can't share some really great stories, because it is all confidential. But I am getting plenty of use out of my 30 words of Spanish Vocabulary.
Now, on to the Round Robin project. This what Liz did and I love it, as did my group.
Here is what I did. I was trying to bring out the mountains. I can't wait to see what this one will look like when we finish, because it has some really different colors in it.
As for the rest of my day.... I need to make muffins, do the wash and I hate to say it, do some Census work. When I remembered that there was a band concert, I told Wes, he would have to handle it, because the best time to get people home is after dinner. That is true and the fact that Jerome has the worst band concerts I have ever heard makes it easy for me to work tonight.

The first grandma project

This fabric is Michael Miller's Dino Dudes. I saw it in a magazine and knew c would love it. She is Dino Crazyl
While on a quilt group field trip to the Quilt Barn, the young mothers went crazy over a diaper bag. It is in amy butler's little stitches for little ones book. Let me add right here that if I were a really cool blogger, I would have a picture of the book, but since I am tech-tarded, you will have to look it up yourself.
Back to the subject. This is a cool bag and in know that c would love it. Some one else in my group said, "I have that book, and it is like new." That was very true, I think I may have been the first one to open it. So here I am, about to embark on my first grandma project.
A few words about the book. It must of been made for another generation. The print was small and on colored paper. My project has 21 steps. That is a lot of steps for someone with my attention span. The patterns are great and it has a spiral bind, so it opens up.
Wish me luck.

May Quilts

I finished this one. I love this quilt. My mother asked what I was going to do with it. Well, I am going to put in the fair and after that, I just don't know.
This is my round robin project. I have got to get busy and get a border on this.
I finally did put a border on this quilt. I am planning on getting it on the quilt frame today. This is for Allison, and then I will only have one more to make for my brothers and sisters.
