Summer

This is from my walk yesterday. These flowers are growing between the sidewalk and the road. It must be good soil because they are huge.

It has been warm enough to enjoy Summer but still getting some windy days.

I heard someone who left the church talking about how the church ' indoctrinated' them. Okay. Here is the thing....a church should indoctrinate...they teach their doctrine. This particular person was talking about how gay people go to Hell. I'm not sure that they go to Hell. Why can't they talk about how God created us all and loves us all.

I realize that I'm not particularly worried about going to Heaven. I believe that I will be judged fairly and end up somewhere where I am comfortable and happy. We all will.

As for being gay. Well, I don't really care. I don't announce to the world that I'm heterosexual because I'm pretty sure you don't care. If God created us all and loves us, I can love everyone without knowing their sexual orientation.

These are my beliefs based on the doctrine I have learned. Yes, I've been indoctrinated.

One more rant.

The Supreme Court made it legal for abortion emnrgency proceedures in Idaho hospital. It is no longer punishable by law to save the life of a mother, nor do they have to go to another state to save their lives.

Abortion is a medical procedure. Not all abortions are about birth control. What is going on in this country is ridiculous. The same people who refuse to support women and children are insisting that all babies be born. A medical procedure should be between between a women, her doctor and her beliefs.

Well. I'm done. Good thing I'm not worried about going to Heaven.

Happy Summer!

Sunday Morning

I love to sit out here in the morning and eat breakfast. The birds are gossiping and the neighbors are quiet and it is very cool. I told myself that I would just sit but I want to share.

My brother Ty, posted this weird post on our family chat.  They went to the Logan Temple and then to the Providiece Cemetery, were they read about 4 generations of Mathews from Family Search.  And let's not forget about the pictures of him and headstones. It was like. Look at me, I'm a very righteous person.

Now, I have been to that Cemetery multiple times and it is a very personal experience for me. I know that I wrote some of what he read in Family Search. I asked my mom a million questions about those people. It didn't make me want to tell my siblings that I did it. I wish he would stop making my brother Jay, have bad feelings about the church. Trust me, there was a bad vibe in this post.

Okay, I said it, maybe I can let it go.

I had a great week. Walks, water arobics, yoga, lunch with friends and with Mary, who explained the Christians line to me, talk about family history.  I am sewing like a crazy lady and enjoying each day. I also went to the Temple this week.

Enjoying the Summer Solstice....

Father's Day

Father's day and my dad's birthday often fell on the same day. It did today.

For my mom's birthday I bought shoes and watched the Game Show Network.  For my dad I filled the bird feeder and had hot dogs and jello. He did enjoy those things.

My goal was not to cry, but I was crying by 9:30.

So I had Todd on my mom's birthday, by a second or two and he had June on my dad's.

Happy Father's Day....

Glacier National Park

What a treat. This place is beautiful.  The last time we came here I had knee problems and couldn't hike, but this time was great.

First hike , Many Glaciers.

From where we stayed.

Next day we went to the Saint Mary's  entrance.

The wild flowers were beautiful.

View from the trail.

Then out to Sun Point

We then went to  Two Medicine Lake. The ride there was an experience. It was cloudy.

A very nice place. We did a quick hike to a waterfall.
