Let's Have a Look-See

What a surprise to have the trees popping splo early.  It's been a beautiful week for a walk. Daffodils are standing strong.  Now, I'm pretty sure that if we don't get more rain, it will be a miserable Summer.  Farmers will need water and the mountains will burn.  Still praying for rain, but enjoying the sun.  Happy Spring..... More flower power....

In case you think I'm not upset about this war with Iran, I am. I see it for what it is. A deversion from the Epstien Files and needless killing of incoent lives, not to mention an incredible waste of money and resources.  Meanwhile, in rural Idaho, life goes on.   I recieved an invitation to "The Bishop's Wives Brunch" on Monday. I,of course, had a moment of panic and spent the next 24 hours wondering how I could get out of it. It became clear to me that I was just going to have to put on my big girl pants and go.  These things are hard for me. Most of my friends are not memebers of the church. I find women in this chruch boaring. There, I said it.   I went yesterday. I planned to arrive 10 minutes late and I did. When I got there, someone said, "This is Lisa Hall."and someone else said, "She was a great teacher in Wendell." Honestly, I did not recognize who it was, but when I did, I was so relieved. Had a beautiful sunrise one morning. Yes, it was cold, windy and rainy the rest of the week.  Scott was in a production of Annie this week. I went twice and enjoyed his Mr. Bundles character very much, but did not get a photo.    I did get him as a butler. He has made friends and enjoyed it. He sings and dances. I'm glad he has been able to participate in life again.  My oldest and youngest granddaughters have been sitting in boxes this week.  Betty shared hers with her cat also. Silly girls.  Speaking of silly, I took Wes to dinner for his birthday. He loved the hat.  It was a busy, busy week... Lunch with friends.... Worked one day .... Finished my Lori Holt project.... And only cooked dinner once.... Cut back the roses .... The world may be a wreck, but there can be peace in your heart.  God Bless.... Happy Longer Days...

 I had a good week until the it came to the end. I had been to the Urologist for my annual visit as they are giving me Hormone Therapy to control UTI's.. I go in and they do labs and they renew my prescription. On Wednesday something happened and I thought, "I wonder if I have a UTI?"  By Thursday, I knew I had one and on Friday I woke up with a fever and I was shaking like crazy. I checked my labs online and they weren't posted so I sent a message.  Now, I was having my quilt group over the next day and I knew I need some antibiotics if I had a chance of being able to host 10 women in my home for lunch and show and tell. The doctors office closes at 12:00 on Fridays. It was 12:15 and was sitting here wondering what my options were. I could go to Urgent Care, which I always regret, or I could call my doctor and they would probably get me in, but I didn't feel like I could drive. A rock and hard place, a silent prayer.
