Viva Las Vegas

We went to Vegas.  Guess what?  It was warm. Have mercy on my soul, I need to be a Snow bird.  We went to Donny Osmond's show. I'm not a huge fan, but I knew the show would be clean and entertaining. It was. We fit in perfectly. My first thought was, 'I had no idea that he had 65 albums and is working on a new one.' Across the table from us was a 75 year old woman and her daughter in law from Stockton California. Wes and the daughter in law left to get beverages and this woman said to me, 'I need to talk to you.'. She proceeded to tell me about the death of her daughter on December 24. Completely out of the blue. She then shared her greif with me. We talked about how much it hurts, every night.  She didn't cry, but I did. Warm Winter

The weather has been so very nice and I've had some good walks. I've run into Sandy, which is always a joy, a couple of times.  Things are calmer, but there is always the underlying crazy going on. I continue to keep busy and avoid too much screen time. I need to work on my cookbook.  We went to see Betty. She is a happy little thing and loves to play.   I did pick up a few things for her. It's always fun to shop for a baby.  Hopefully it will be a peaceful week. The Olympics are on and the athletes are not only talented but inspiring.  Enjoy the day.... God hears and answers prayers...  Temples are a place of peace....

Happy February

Guess what? It's supposed to be in the 50's this week. I walked outside a couple of times this week. It was cold enough to make my face cold for a while but I do like it better than the Rec.  I always like to see the sun coming through the clouds. It's like heaven looking down on you.  It was a calmer week, but I'm still keeping busy to stay away from social media. Reading, sewing, lunching and cleaning.  Good bye January.... Hello longer days....
