Another Week with the Squirt
I spent a couple of days with Betty. She adjusted well. She liked her Gabby and cats. We practiced sliding. And she loves flowers. These are from Callie's garden. She planted them from seeds. They are beautiful. It's hard to believe she might move away but I believe that your kids should find their own path, no matter where it is. I came home to some hot Summer days. Wes is back to work. Scott got a job. I'm so glad. He needs to get out. So I start my second year of retirement. I also wonder through these 38 days of grief. The 38 days between when my father passed away and when my mother passed away. Will it always hurt? Maybe. I believe that grief is an emotion with no boundaries. It comes and goes as it pleases. You have to let it in and feel the feelings to heal. Families are complicated.... It's okay to feel it.... Everyone needs a friend...
