Camping

Image
We had our annual camping trip.  Missing last years trip, made it really hard to go this year. This is Lonesome Larry... This guy is trying to raise awareness and get the sockeye back in the lake. Good Luck! We wanted to take a hike.   Wes wanted to ride in the boat. Callie said that 5 year olds  go on this hike. I knew we were in trouble on the way over. It was a pretty walk. For the record, I did not see any 5 year olds. I made it and then took a ibuprofen for a couple of days. Wes made it too. After we ate, hydrated, and had a rest, we went to the lake.

Fall Walk

Image
When I was in California a few weeks ago, Rich mentioned that I hadn't posted any of my walking pictures. He was so right. I have a terrible time switching from walking in the morning to the afternoon in the fall. And then I got sick and couldn't get better. So I came home and went to the doctor and after a couple of weeks, I finally feel better and I can breath, which is always a plus. After a horrible, windy, cold week, we had a lovely day today. You can still find leaves on the trees. The corn is long gone. However, there are still sugar beats, and these are some of the last ones. I would except these to be harvested any day now. Jerome sits in the distance and it looks like we still have some fall colors to enjoy.

What a Week!

These pictures are from my walk. These weeds or flowers, line the walking path this time of year and the corn is tall and will be ready to harvest soon. After what seemed like the longest summer on record, we finally made it to back to school week. It has been interesting. Callie had the first day of her last year of school. We are also celebrating our last year of Middle School --- Yeah --- and I am living with a college student. The living with a college student is new to me and a very interesting experience. I am extremely grateful that my three college students have their tuition and books taken care of. Life is good.

Had a great walk this morning and realized I hadn't shared pictures in awhile.

Walking in May

Image
Here is the the town of Jerome. Please notice that the trees are green and the weeds in the field are doing well also. You may not be able to tell, but the field has been planted and they have started to water. The corn is up now. See, we can do green. Now that school is out I can get out more often and I am looking forward to it. -

Canyon Walk

Image
I am always wanting to take the walk along the canyon in Twin Falls, so we had a little Mother's Day walk yesterday. The canyon is green and pretty right now. I look forward to another one soon.
