Alone

Since I retired, I have spent most days with Scott. He was working from home and then he quit to be a Substitute Teacher. No one could have predicted that the district would have such a slow hiring process. But Scott worked every day this week and I was finally alone.

It was glorious. He is very easy to work with, but I love hanging around the house by myself.

I finished my Christmas decorations.

We had a beautiful sunset one night.

The cat loves the Christmas tree.

We went as a family to buy for Toys for Tots and then came home and watched A Charlie Brown Christmas.

I took my dad's beautiful cousin to lunch. She celebrated her 97th birthday this week. She is my hero. We can talk for hours about politics and education. I want to grow up to be like her.

And I received my Betty ornament in the mail.  So darn cute.

I also delivered a donation to a non profit blanket service. They work with all the other organizations in the valley. It was a big donation and a very mixed bag. There were new things and some used.   I've been gathering for a few weeks.

What will I do next week to keep me busy when I'm home alone? I'm sure I'll think of something.

Christmas Cheer....
Light the World with kindness...
