Let's Have a Look-See

I found this in some Christmas stuff. It's hard to believe that it is anything less to gan a gift from God; a tender mercy. I'm thinking of making it an ornament.  In other tender mercies, Richard is home and he is doing better than expected. He has told me many things that he couldn't say when he lived with Ashley because she wouldn't let him talk to us.  The thing he said that touched me the most was that  his ministering brothers would invite him over for visits because Ashley wouldn't let them in her house. God bless those men, who were there for my son.  God is good... Jesus is our Savior.... Christmas is almost here ....

I have 1,000,000 things to do and many demands on my time. I haven't felt like this in a long time. I feel like too many people have no respect for my time. I've been in this frame of mind for a few days.  I know how to fix this. I will fix this, but there are somethings that are not going to get done. There will be some people who will not understand this, but it will all be well.  We have had a spectacular week of weather and I am feeling blessed.  The Jerome light parade was very mild this year. I always wonder why we have to have this parade when it is so cold outside. I do consider moving to a warmer climate.  The lights make for fun late afternoon walks.  Ponder the reason for the season and you will find light. 

I decided to have a baby shower for Callie. One of the first people to invite themselves to the shower was her mother-in-law.  It definitely put some pressure on me. So I have been collecting things here and there and we pushed back the furniture and had 14 people come and enjoy.  Spencer's family. Hannah came and brought her fiance  Callies High School friends. Callies dog, Teadie was a big hit.  It was a good day.  So many more people who were kind enough to come and share  our excitement. 

We enjoyed a very pleasant Thanksgiving day.  I set the table with dishes from my grandmother, stem wear from my mother and the rest from me. So we had my grandma, Callie and Scott's grandma and the baby, who is almost here, grandma's memories at the table. My crew Wes cut the turkey. It was a good day. I had been looking through my Facebook memories of past years. Sweet, sweet memories of family.  This was at Ty's house around 15 years ago.  Lucy 14 years ago  Wes's family maybe 6 years ago.  Dinner at Allison's after my dad's stroke. Two years ago at Allison's.  It was a week of gratitude for me. I love my family; the littles, the old people, my many in- laws and my children. They are such a blessing to me.
