Let's Have a Look-See

My grateful check-in.... Had a lovely lunch with Mary. Words can't express how grateful I am to have her in my life. Had my first In and Out in Idaho.  And I am so grateful that Callie is having a baby. She and Spencer will be good parents. They will have this little bundle of joy to share their lives with.  And my class this year,  They are amazing little people. I have a good life. Count your blessings....

I voted. I'm unaffiliated with any party, but everyone, including me, knows I'm a Democrat.  I'm not an idiot, I knew from the moment she joined the race that she couldn't win. Americans just can't vote for a woman.  But to elect a Facist, Felon, Crazy man hurt my soul.  I had been so grateful that we had not had a recession, that it never dawned on me that people didn't know how lucky they were to just have high grocery prices.  Here is a man that wants to take our choice away. I don't believe in abortion, but it is a choice between a woman and her doctor.  And lastly, the Harris/ Walsh ran a clean campaign. One that emphasized hope. One that was humain to all people. You know how I feel about immigrants. We need them and they need us.  Things will be crazy the next four years. We will be prepared.  God Bless America......

Last Sunday my son Richard called and told us he had something to tell us. He is in Law School in North Carolina and his marriage has been extremely emotionally abusive. He proceeded to tell us that he had left her.  My first words were, Where are you?.  He answered that he was staying in his Elders Quarm Presidents basement.  This was such a relief to me.  We talked ... He needed money ... After he spent 2 weeks in a mental hospital a year ago, I told him if he left her we would help him... We sent money right then... He feels bad... Like a failure... But, as a bystander, I was so relieved... I was also sad to or him... When I went to pray that night, my first words were, Stay with him. I felt blessed that he was safe, and working on the right path.  Law School has been a nightmare for him and me. There's only one more semester.  I hope he Stays at school. That he Stays away from his wife. That angles Stay with him.  Sometimes being a parent is all ab...

I love the time of year when the trees turn.  This one turned in a day. I love this old tree.  This one is in Logan. Their trees are late too.  These are at the Twin Falls temple. Just breathtaking. And this was from my walk last week. The helicopters...that's what we called them when I was a kid...were turning red. Very cool.  I love the colors, but hate that it is a sign that Winter will be here before we know it. I always think about this song by John Denver in the Fall.  I appreciate the tender mercies of God.  I love that He sends us signs that He loves us.  Life Good.

One thing we always miss is Thanksgiving with Keith. We were able to drive up to Canada last week and spend the holiday with them.  The trees were beautiful. It's not normal for them to have leaves on the tree still, but they, like us, are having an extra warm Fall.  We went to Lucys game. Keith is the coach We took Annie to the store and bought $50 of Canadian candy.  I found the perfect place for a family picture.  And we enjoyed spending time with the girls.  Dinner was excellent. I brought the plates and napkins.  The other grandparents were there as well.  Family is everything...

People keep asking me how it is to be the Bishop's wife.  First, I didn't know it was a thing. Second, I love every minute that I'm so left home alone. Third, I'm just me, praying, quilting, stitching, and working with my class.  I will say that most of the people at work don't know. It felt good to tell my very imperfect friend, Lana. She is 100% inactive, so I was touched when the words, You'll be blessed, came out of her mouth.  So I'm not sure where my place is, but for now, all it is well in my soul.  Happy Fall....

As I have mentioned a few times in the past, my favorite weekend is  General Confrence.  Love you watch at home and cross stitch. I believe in prophets and love to hear their words. They strengthen me.  It is very much like finding what is missing in your life and how to fit it in.  I heard a lot about focusing on Jesus Christ today. I couldn't agree more. My motto is , If you have a good relationship with Jesus Christ, the rest will work out.  God is good.
