Viva Las Vegas
We went to Vegas. Guess what? It was warm. Have mercy on my soul, I need to be a Snow bird.
We went to Donny Osmond's show. I'm not a huge fan, but I knew the show would be clean and entertaining. It was. We fit in perfectly. My first thought was, 'I had no idea that he had 65 albums and is working on a new one.'
Across the table from us was a 75 year old woman and her daughter in law from Stockton California. Wes and the daughter in law left to get beverages and this woman said to me, 'I need to talk to you.'. She proceeded to tell me about the death of her daughter on December 24. Completely out of the blue. She then shared her greif with me. We talked about how much it hurts, every night.
She didn't cry, but I did. I'm grateful that she could share, and it's happened before, but I'm always surprised.
We had our own loss this week. Wes's nephew passed away after a long battle with Cancer. Brian Hall...he has struggled with I don't know what, most of his adult life, but I hope he has found peace.
On a lighter note we were observing the Sphere on our ride over and it is fun to watch. Vegas is big, loud and crowded, but it felt good to be warm.
Earlier in the day we went to the St. George temple.
Found delishes creaps and a great cross stitch shop.
On the way home I couldn't help but notice the lack of snow on the Nevada mountains. We desperately need a month of storms.
Snow birds for the win...
If your a vessel, let them talk to you...
Trust....
