Races

Have I said how grateful I am for having the Twin Falls temple so close?

Well, I am.
It has truly been a blessing.

We went up to Redfish Lake for a running event.

Here are my mountain men at work.
It had just finished raining when we got there,
and I am VERY happy to say,
it didn't rain while we were there.

These boys have become really good friends.
Rich ran the 10k and Scott ran the 1/2 marathon.

I love this flag.

This is where Scott is going to work this summer.
If you go up, stop by and see him.

I never get tired of this view.

Here is Richard with 2 brothers that have turned out to be good friends.
Our families have become good friends.
They have been a blessing.

And Scott finished his race too.
If you look really carefully,
you can see that Scott is growing a stash !

Uplift and Erosion

Some of my dearest friends came for a visit,
so we took them to Little City of Rocks.

Richard and Nikole went crazy.

It was a beautiful day.

Even I went off the beaten path.

And was reminded that we share the desert with snakes.
And yes it scared me.

While visiting Southern Utah with Wes's Uncle Victor -
I know he wasn't an uncle, but it is what we called him.

He explained that these rock formation come from

1-- uplift
and
2 -- erosion.

I couldn't help be think about him on this little hike.

It was very enjoyable.

A Little Project

We have had a project planned for a while.
When I agreed to this project, I knew Wes and I could never do it alone.
So we waited until our kids could come and help.
We did not plan on Richard being sicker than a dog.

--notice Callie carrying a branch that is bigger than her--

The city will come and park their dump truck in front of your house for 24 hours.
Free of Charge

You can put what ever you want in it.

A small problem is the size of the truck,
but we figured it out.

The jack hammer was an issue.
We can agree to disagree on that one.

So what was accomplished?
One less apricot tree.
I now have a beautiful view from the back yard to the street.
I am taking bets on when my fence will come back.
We no longer have the base of a retaining wall
that we have never had. The wall was gone long before we moved in.

And Callie reminded us that you should always have
Safety First!
