Too many Kindles

I received a new kindle for my birthday.
It is not a kindle fire, just the paperwhite,
which means,
I won't have to turn on the lights
when I read in the middle of the night.
What can I say?
I have some sleeping issues.

Unfortunately, I am reading my mothers old kindle.
She has some books on here that I want to read.
I have several more to go.

So, what do
I do with my old one?

Oh the joys of technology!

Well, I tell you this as I am planning a road trip to see this little guy.
Really, how many kindles should I take?

I love his hair.
It makes me smile.

Master Keith

I love graduation photos.
I don't really love graduation ceremonies,
but to get the pictures, I have to go.

Keith got his Master of  Education in Special Ed, yesterday.
Here is a picture to add to the other classics.
(I can't believe I wore the same shirt--talk about a classic.)

However, when you get your masters with a wife,
two kids and full time job,
This picture becomes the classic.

Because he had his hands full.

We spent the rest of the day at the park.

We had a picnic,

and walked in the water.

It was a good day and we are proud of Keith.

4th of July

So the city of Jerome had a 4th of July ceremony.
It was a cool morning.

With a little breeze.

Now, this guy rang the bell during the minute of silence --- which isn't very silent.

These guys had to stand through the entire program...

To have a 1 volley salute....but it was loud.

After a reading of the Declaration of Independence,
which at one point, I thought that we may have been declaring independence from Obama,
this group read a list of names, over 400 of them.
They were veterans of WW2 buried in the Jerome cemetery.

It was also covered by the local news.
And if you don't blink, you will see Wes and I.

We had a little bbq in the evening and then listened to this crazy
place pop and bang, as they went crazy with fireworks.

Hope you had a great  4th too.

It is Hot!

I know some people don't think it can get hot in Idaho, but it is.  I just wanted to share this recipe with you.  I found them on , and they are fast, easy, and great for a

hot, summer day.

By the way, I use sugar free pudding and they would be great with nuts.
