Trek

He's back.
Rich went on a Trek this week.
For those of you who do not know what a Trek is, let me fill you in.
Kids dress up like pioneers, and push handcarts, live in the wilderness, and they like it.
They do this in honor of their pioneer ancestors and their trek.
It was quiet while he was gone, but it is always good to have him here.
He had a great time.

And just for fun, here is Cal and friends ready for trek.
Rich would have had a cow, if I took his picture.

I finished my first quilt for the summer.
Everyone thinks I sew all day, and I wish I did, but the truth is, I sew a couple of hours everyday.

Yard Sale

I was cleaning out things so I could have a yard sale.
I love to visit yard sales on my Friday walks,
however, I am not that excited about having a yard sale.
Anyway, I found a few quilts that I had made and wondered if they would sell.
I did sell this one, online, for a fair price, but it is hard to see this little quilt leave.
I am going to make another one.  (I didn't like the batting I used in this quilt)

And here is another item that I sold.
It was not hard to see this old cutting mat leave.
I had a ruler that I sold with it.

As soon as I had the cash in my hand,
I went to Twin and got me a nice, new, mat.
I have already used it and I am happy, happy, happy.

My favorite part of summer is breakfast on the deck.
You must know that when I am trying to get to work, I don't always get breakfast,
but in the summer, I have time to enjoy breakfast with Philly.

By the way I was able to stop him, before he got my milk.

The first trip

We started my quest to visit all of our kids with the one who lives closest.
He also needed some help working on his car.
So we went to Logan yesterday.

Utah State...

Arts in the park...

A classic restaurant in Logan.

Dinner with the boys
but not at the Bluebird.

Good Food

It was a good little trip.

Just Keep Swimming

I didn't have to wait long for another guest.
We so enjoyed a visit from Uncle Rich
and our visit to the Burnt Lemon Grill.

My favorite part:
I came home and Rich jumped out of his car.
I said, "Have you been waiting? I think Wes is out back."
He said, "There is some old guy in the back yard."
Ohhhhhhh. How I loved this, because the old guy was, Wes.

Well, the room is ready for our next guest.

Until then, I have some summer goals.
  1. Watch an episode of Gilmore Girls everyday....sometimes with Richard.
  2. Take care of my flowers, garden and quilts.
  3. Walk 5 days a week and start Water Exercise next week...which I love.
  4. Do some summer reading.
  5. Visit each of my children during the summer.
  6. Clean the house...or have Richard do it.
Sure hope I don't over do!

Reminders

Everyday I look at this little car and think I should put it away.
I don't think anyone else is coming this summer to drive it.

However, the guest room is clean and if you are in the neighborhood,
please drop by.

Graduation Announcements ? ? ?

We received a boat load of graduation announcements this year.
It makes me crazy, because I feel obligated to give them something,
however, I don't even know most of them.
But that is not my problem.
I feel like many of them do not celebrate graduating from High School,
rather, they celebrate their many poses in front of a camera.
( It looks like the ones I am talking about are on the bottom of this pile)

Okay, I said it.
And that was nicer than other things I have said.
Congratulations to all!
