Wild Weekend

We went to Redfish on Friday to pick up Callie.
Saturday I had my quilting meeting and then we did some shopping for Callie.
Sunday after church, we took Callie to Provo so she can get back to school.
If this is sounding like it is all about Callie, well, it is.
Monday morning, we went to the store to buy Callie some food for her refrigerator.
Then, we called Todd and took him to breakfast. It was very enjoyable.
After-which, we drove to Springville and I stocked up on the thread that I use to make receiving blankets... I have a year's supply. Across the street from that store is where they have my favorite quilt show. I was so sad that it was not open on Monday.
Then we drove to Roosevelt to see K@C and the goose. The goose is walking and thinking she is big stuff now. Loved that visit.
Then we came home. We took the wrong road and somehow ended up at In and Out Burger. LOVED that visit also.
After seeing 500,000 construction cones, we made it home and crashed so we could get up and go work today.
I am so happy to say that I went all the way to work and back without seeing any road construction!!!! Really enjoyed that.
I have a quilt top just about done. Pictures later.

Best of Show

I was pleasantly surprised to see this. Our county fair has no gate fee so the $$$$ prize is not too much, but it does pay for an elephant ear. $2 for the purple ribbon and $1 for the blue. I love life in the sticks.

Signs on the Jerome County Fair

I love this sign. It basically says you can't carry your guns to the fair. This is a pretty peaceful place. The only time I have heard of problems are usually domestic and involve intoxication. Now this sign was in the 4-H cow barn. It made me smile. I will say the barn was clean and smelled pretty good.

Pillow Shams

Well, it has been two weeks since I let the doctor cut into my neck and although I feel better than I did before, the sewing is slow. Here are the pillow shames that go with the quilt that is at The Quilt Barn, being quilted. It should be done any time. This is my round robin from my quilting group.
Now that these are done, I am not sure what I will do to occupy myself. Hand quilting has certainly kept me busy. I do have some cross stitch and although it has been a while since I picked it up, it would help me pass the time.
