Summer Vacation!

I did this quilt last week. It was cut out, but I had not done anything with it, because I was up to my ears in wedding stuff. This one is mine and I am going to quilt it this summer.
As for this one. I cut it out on Saturday and put it together today. It needs to be sandwiched and quilted by this weekend. It is for Keith's friend. I hope to have a better picture up later this week. I love making scrappy quilts.
After watching the news and seeing the damage of the tornadoes, I realize I need to make some twin size quilts for humanitarian. I keep saying I am going to use up some fabric this summer.
I don't know about you, but this is a great start to my summer vacation.

Secret Pals

Can I tell a funny story? At work they did secret pals. I did not want to do it, but was guilted into it. I felt very lucky, as the person I picked filled out her paper very well and it was not hard to find things for her.
Well, after a few months, I noticed that I never had received anything from my secret pal. And after a couple more I even complained to a friend that I must have the custodian. You might say that I don't think Herb would be a great secret pal.
So today was the day to find out who your secret pal was. Awkward? yes. Until she comes up to me and apologizes because she had been putting out my gifts on the table with my name on them and the PTA president had been picking them up. Her name is Lisa too.
Is it funny? At least it got Herb off the hook.

Saturday Outing

We went to Shoshone Falls because we had heard that there was a lot of water going over them. We have had a wet winter and will have plenty of water for the crops. It always amazes me that when you turn your head you see this. How can it be so quite and peaceful? It is view I never get tired of.

I do not do the bead thing. However, my nephew and his wife have a shop in Kimberly Idaho called All About Beads and if I go and pick out some beads, my nephew will make things for me. It is fun, and I appreciate his hard work.
We had ls with us. I think she liked it.
And finally, do you remember a couple of months ago when I made a wedding dress? Well, here it is. It was very moving to see her in it.
It was made for her.
And here is another of my favorite landmarks in Twin Falls.

Kids Quilt

I did this quilt for quiltsw for kids. They provide quilts to children in hospitals with cancer. It is easy and they provide fabric and backing. The fabric is already cut. You have to provide batting and return postage. Go here and check it out.
