Block of the Month

I am working on 3 different blocks of the month. Both of my quilt groups are doing them and then I found another one, that I love. So since it is the end of the month, here are my 3 blocks of the month. The green one is called Turkey in the Straw. The one with red in it is called Hither and Yon and found at http://mccallsquilting.com/. The basket is from http://bunnyhilldesigns.com/dynamic/?page=Free%20Patterns . The last picture is my calendar quilt. Everyday I add a row. I want it to be 90 x 90. It has turned out to be kind of fun. You can check out more at http://calendarquiltchallenge.blogspot.com/

What I love about Idaho

Here is what time it was when I left the car.

And when I was finished.

My favorite thing about living in Jerome is going to the DMV. I had to go today to check on a driver's licence extension for Todd. I was finally ready to go about 11:00. I drove down the the building. The building also houses all other county offices. I had to stand in line today. I asked my question, got my information and was done in about 10 minutes. Isn't that awesome? I can't help it, I love it.

A Plug

We went to a new quilt store in Kimberly today. It is called the quilt barn. It is a great store with a very helpful staff. They carry some fun fabrics and have an open floor plan so you can see it all. If you are ever in the neighborhood, you should stop by.

Quilt Show in Kimberly

Some of my quilting friends and I went to a quilt show in Kimberly today. It was at the library. I was impressed with the number of quilts there. There were all different levels of quilting on display. Afterwards we went to the Quilt Barn. It is a cute quilt store with lots of bright colors. We had a good time
